Bulk Config is one of the most powerful configuration feature in PA Server Monitor. It will help you quickly configure
large numbers of monitors, computers, actions, etc.
The Bulk Config dialog consists of two main areas:
- (1) Operation: A drop-down control that lets you choose what type of operation to perform, and the types of objects it will be performed on.
- (2) Target Objects: A list of objects that the operation will be performed on. You can use the radio buttons to choose different ways of grouping
the objects to make object selection easier.
Once you've chosen the operation, and checked the boxes next to the objects that you want to operate on, press the Select Options button. This lets you
specify details for the operation to be performed. When you're done, the text box next to the Select Options button will display a summary
of what will happen.
After reviewing the summary of the operation to be performed, press the Perform Operation button. This will send your configuration request to the service
for processing. Most operations are handled very quickly, but a few could take a minute or so. When the operation completes you will be shown a
success message, or an error message with a reason for the failure.
