\u00a0If not, you\u2019re missing out on a powerful feature!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\"> \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">The Dynamic Server List monitor can be run as a Global Monitor, from Advanced Services &gt; Global Monitors. \u00a0It lets you create a list based on\u00a0a large number of possible criteria, such as:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">\u2022 Does the server have a particular service<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">\u2022 The value of a performance counter<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">\u2022 The value of a Custom Property<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">\u2022 Text found within the server\u2019s name<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">\u2022 any many more\u2026<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">This monitor is run on a schedule you control, and checks your criteria to update the server list. \u00a0You can receive notifications when servers enter and leave the list if you would like. \u00a0For example, you can be alerted if a server enters the list of all servers with less than 16GB or RAM.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">Dynamic Groups<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">But that\u2019s just a small part of what the monitor enables. \u00a0There is a type of group called the Dynamic Group. \u00a0Unlike most groups where you can drag and drop computers and groups in and out, a Dynamic Group\u2019s list of servers is based on a Dynamic Server List. \u00a0 This lets you create groups like these:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" title=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.poweradmin.com\/help\/pa-server-monitor-6-2\/monitor-dynamic-server-list2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"316\" height=\"85\"><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">\u2022 Group of servers that have an Exchange service<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">\u2022 Group of servers with over 64GB of RAM<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">\u2022 Group of servers that have the Custom Property \u201cDepartment\u201d set to \u201cFINANCE\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">\u2022 etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\"><br>\n Because many reports work at the group level, this lets you define dynamic reports based on all sorts of different criteria.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">Dynamic Configuration via Templates<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">But wait, there\u2019s more!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">As cool as the above is, now I\u2019m going to show you some real magic \ud83d\ude42<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">You know about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.poweradmin.com\/help\/pa-server-monitor-6-2\/config-monitor-templates.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Monitor Templates<\/a>, right?
