The Visual Status Map is a new feature that is one of the three available group level reports. The map display allows you to easily see the status of servers that are located in geographically distant parts of the country, continent or the world. This type of display may be beneficial in determining network problems that are geographically significant due to server locations.
To see the Visual Status Map, select a group in the Navigation Window and click the "Map" link in the centered title area at the top of the report window.
The following report display for a properly configured Status Map is typical.
The map appearance and the positions and style of the status indicators must be configured by you in the Status Map Editor Dialog.
The colors displayed by the status indicators correspond to the "worst" monitor state of all monitors for every computer. In other words, the presence of one monitor in an error state for a given computer will cause its indicator to display in red. A "green" status indicates that the computer has no detected problems.
