Quick Installation Guide for PA Storage Monitor
You will find that PA Storage Monitor is very easy to set up and use. This guide will show you the steps that you will follow when setting up PA Storage Monitor for the first time.

If you are an experienced IT professional, you may install PA Storage Monitor at this time.
However, if you are new to PA Storage Monitor, then we highly recommend that you review the Detailed Installation Guide in order to familiarize yourself with the product.
All you need for the Startup Wizard of PA Storage Monitor are the names of connected servers and devices that you want to monitor, and a few other items of information which the Startup Wizard will request from you, as listed below:
- For email notification from PA Storage Monitor:
- SMTP server name, and outgoing port number (if non standard)
- SMTP server user name and password (if required)
- Return address for sender field of notification emails
- Backup SMTP server specifications (as above), if desired
- Name or address of every server or connected device that you wish to monitor
- For every Windows server, the username and password (if needed) for monitoring
When you have collected this information, you may proceed to install PA Storage Monitor.
