Report Settings
The Report Settings dialog allows you to customize certain aspects of the way that PA Storage Monitor
performs reporting.
The available settings and controls in this dialog are as follows.
-
Report Directory - This directory is where the HTML report files that are created and modified by
PA Storage Monitor are stored.
-
Days before Reports are Cleaned Up - This value is the number of days of reports (HTML files) that
PA Storage Monitor allows to exist in this folder.
-
Clean All Reports Now - This button, when selected, purges all reports. Only the most recent reports
remain after using this selection.
-
Status Reports Interval - This drop down list allows you to select the interval at which report files are generated.
While a shorter interval will return more closely spaced and more timely reporting data, it will also use more processor
resources and will cause the computer on which PA Storage Monitor is running to run more slowly as a result.
-
Show Maintenance Period on server status report
-
Turn off "Enable WMI Hint" on Server Reports Where it is Being Shown - If PA Storage Monitor detects that
a server being monitored that is configured as a Windows server does not provide WMI service, you will see a warning message
indicating this fact on every report page associated with that server. This check box, when selected, disables this warning.
-
Update Status Reports every time a Monitor enters or leaves an error condition - If you are
monitoring a large number of servers, then this option should only be used if you are certain that the computer that is
running PA Storage Monitor can support the relatively high processing load that will be created.
